Climate on Madeira

Madeira and Porto Santo are suitable all year round as a tourist destination. Not for nothing is Madeira called "The Island of Eternal Spring" or "Floating Garden of the Atlantic" or "Flower Island".

In the summer months of July to October, the daytime temperatures are at a pleasant 26 ° - 30 ° C.

In the mild winter months, the temperature rarely drops below 16 ° C. It hardly rains in the months of June to August. The water temperatures are always between 18 ° -22 ° C due to the warm Gulf Stream.

PriDe of Madeira


"The pride of Madeira" is an endemic plant that only grows in Madeira. You will find many of these shrubs in the area around the Pico Arieiro, the third highest mountain of Madeira. They can reach a circumference of up to 2 meters and then carry up to 100 blue inflorescences, which are swarmed by insects and butterflies. The pride of Madeira grows up to 2000 meters.
