Encumeada to Boca da Corrida

Our journey begins at Boca da Encumeada, where we walk along the historic “royal” path, once a vital route connecting the south and north sides of the island, crossing the heart of the central massif. As we trek through lush landscapes, the abundant flora surrounds us, and with a bit of luck, we may spot some of Madeira’s native bird species. Along the way, enjoy breathtaking views, including another spectacular perspective of Curral das Freiras.
