Your Hiking Week at a Glance:

Day 1: Arrival & Welcome in Funchal

Relax as we pick you up from the airport and bring you to your charming boutique hotel. In the evening, meet your guide and fellow travelers for a warm welcome.

Day 2: Coastal Wonders & Local Life

Walk along the Levada do Norte to Cabo Girão, Europe’s highest cliff, with breathtaking ocean views. Visit the historic fishing village of Câmara de Lobos, learn about traditional swordfish fishing, and taste the famous local drink, Poncha.

Day 3: Into the Wild West

Hike through the secluded Levada dos Cedros, a hidden gem surrounded by mystical Laurissilva forests. Witness ancient, moss-covered trees near Fanal, one of the island’s most magical spots. Afterward, unwind in Porto Moniz, where you can swim in natural volcanic pools or visit the island’s aquarium.

Day 4: A Day by the Sea

Marvel at Madeira’s volcanic origins on a scenic coastal hike at Ponta de São Lourenço, with dramatic cliffs and unique rock formations. Visit the fishing village of Caniçal, known for its colorful boats and fresh seafood. Enjoy a delicious meal of the catch of the day before a short stop in Machico, a historic town with a golden beach.

Day 5: Into the Green Paradise

Walk along the Levada do Rei, a stunning route surrounded by lush vegetation. The Ribeiro Bonito Valley, covered in ancient laurel forest, is a true natural sanctuary. End the day by visiting a 300-year-old watermill and enjoying a meal at a hand-picked local restaurant.

Day 6: Waterfalls & Lagoons

A spectacular hike through Rabaçal, one of Madeira’s most scenic regions. Walk along levadas and narrow forest trails to Lagoa do Vento, a hidden lagoon with cascading waterfalls. An unforgettable encounter with Madeira’s purest beauty!

Day 7: Leisure & Exploration

Enjoy a free day to relax, explore Funchal’s botanical gardens, or take an optional trip to Porto Santo. Your guide will provide plenty of ideas to make the most of your day.
