We drive along the south coast to the small coastal town of Santa Cruz. In Santa Cruz there is a small market for fresh fish, fruits and vegetables.
We continue to Machico, where there is time for a break in the cosy city.
Across Caniçal, Madeira’s only industrial and fishing port, we cycle to the most eastern point of the island, the Ponta de São Lourenço.
The Eastern Cape offers a breath-taking view of the wild Atlantic in the north. Back in Machico we still have time for a swim in the sea before the transfer bus picks us up again.

Tips for a smooth ride
Please always bring a backpack with a snack or a banana and a rain jacket or fleece jacket for biking. This is also good against the wind on the descent.
Most tours offer the option of stopping for a bite to eat or drink along the way. Water for the tour is always on the bus.
Sleeve and leg warmers, short and long gloves are also useful. The Tour Pico do Arieiro or Paul da Serra leads to 1800/1400 m, so it can be a little fresher.
Terms and conditions:
1. If bike tours have to be cancelled due to the weather, we will move them to another day.
2. If the tours that are cancelled due to the weather cannot be rescheduled, they will not be reimbursed.
3. Tours started will not be reimbursed.
4. Cancellations received 24 hours before departure will be charged at 50% and tours that have already been paid for will be refunded at 50%.
5. In case of no-show, the full amount will be charged, and trips already paid will not be refunded.
6. Insurance according to Portuguese regulations.
