A Journey to Madeira’s Eastern Edge
Embark on an unforgettable adventure to the easternmost point of Madeira, where nature’s beauty unfolds in every direction. This stunning nature park offers panoramic views, with tuff and basalt rock formations shimmering in the sunlight, creating ever-changing reflections and lighting moods that are perfect for photography. As we hike through the unique, barren landscape, we’ll encounter rare plant species that call this extraordinary place home. The views of the rugged north coast are simply breathtaking, offering a true sense of Madeira’s wild beauty.
At the end of the hike, we’ll ascend the Elephant’s Head, where, on clear days, you’ll be rewarded with a magnificent view of the Desertas Islands and the neighboring island of Porto Santo.
(Optional swim at one of the secluded beaches)
The tour includes hotel transfers for a smooth experience.
The easternmost part of the island of Madeira is a natural park with fantastic panoramic views. Tuff rock and basalt shimmer in the sunlight and transform the bizarre rock formations.
The reflections and lighting atmospheres created by the sun’s rays are a great photo opportunity. Rare plants accompany us on this unique hike.
If you don’t climb Elephant Rock at the end of the hike, the elevation gain would be less.
