Our tour starts in Vale Paraiso and we ride along the Levada da Serra do Faial.
We cycle under laurel trees and breathe in the scent of the eucalyptus trees. Via Portela it then goes on forest and small side roads to Machico. Here is time to stop and take a swim on the sandy beach of Machico, until the transfer bus brings us back to the bike station.

Tips for a smooth ride
Please always bring a backpack with a snack or a banana and a rain jacket or fleece jacket for biking. This is also good against the wind on the descent.
Most tours offer the option of stopping for a bite to eat or drink along the way. Water for the tour is always on the bus.
Sleeve and leg warmers, short and long gloves are also useful.
Terms and conditions:
1. If bike tours have to be cancelled due to the weather, we will move them to another day.
2. If the tours that are cancelled due to the weather cannot be rescheduled, they will not be reimbursed.
3. Tours started will not be reimbursed.
4. Cancellations received 24 hours before departure will be charged at 50% and tours that have already been paid for will be refunded at 50%.
5. In case of no-show, the full amount will be charged, and trips already paid will not be refunded.
6. Insurance according to Portuguese regulations.
