Política de Privacidade · Last updated: 28 April 2026
At AlbanoAktiv, accessible from https://albanoaktiv.com, one of our main priorities is the privacy of our visitors. This Privacy Policy document contains the types of information that is collected and recorded by AlbanoAktiv and how we use it.

- Email: info@albanoaktiv.com
2. Information We Collect
We collect several types of information for various purposes to provide and improve our services to you:
- Personal Identification Information: When you book a tour (Bike Tours, Hiking, Canyoning, etc.) or contact us, we may ask for your name, email address, phone number, and accommodation details (for pickup and transfer services).
- Technical Data: We collect IP addresses, browser types, and device information via cookies to analyse website traffic and performance.
- Health and Safety Data: For certain outdoor activities, we may ask for your height/weight (for equipment sizing) or physical fitness levels to ensure your safety and the proper execution of the tour.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect in the following ways:
- To process and manage your tour bookings and reservations.
- To organize logistics, including hotel transfers and pickups.
- To communicate vital updates regarding your tour (e.g. weather alerts or schedule changes).
- To comply with Portuguese legal and tax obligations (e.g. mandatory invoicing and tax reporting).
- To maintain and improve our website’s user experience.
4. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), our legal bases for processing your data are:
- Performance of a Contract: Necessary to provide the service you have booked.
- Legal Obligation: To comply with local laws in Portugal (e.g. tourism insurance and tax laws).
- Consent: When you explicitly opt-in to marketing communications or accept non-essential cookies.
5. Sharing Your Data
We do not sell your personal data. We only share information with trusted third parties necessary to operate our business:
- Insurance Providers: As required by Portuguese law for all outdoor and tourism activities.
- Payment Processors: To handle secure financial transactions.
- Public Authorities: When legally required for tax or security purposes.
6. Data Retention
We will retain your personal information only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy, or to comply with legal retention periods (e.g. Portuguese tax law requires keeping invoices for 10 years).
7. Your Data Protection Rights
Under the GDPR, you have the following rights:
- Right to Access: You can request copies of your personal data.
- Right to Rectification: You can request that we correct inaccurate information.
- Right to Erasure: You can request the deletion of your data (under certain conditions).
- Right to Object: You can object to the processing of your data for specific purposes.
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at info@albanoaktiv.com or via our contact form.
8. Cookies & Tracking
This website does not use any analytics tools, advertising trackers, or third-party tracking cookies. We have deliberately avoided embedding any third-party content that could set cookies on your device:
- Fonts are self-hosted from this server — no requests to Google Fonts or other font CDNs.
- No analytics (Google Analytics, Matomo, Hotjar, etc.) are loaded.
- No social media trackers (Facebook Pixel, LinkedIn Insight, Twitter, etc.) are loaded. External profile links (Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp) open only when you click them, in a new tab.
- No embedded maps or videos. The location pin in the top bar is a plain link to Google Maps that opens only when clicked. The hero video on the homepage is hosted on this server.
The only cookies that may be set on your device are strictly technical session cookies when you submit the contact form. These are set by PHP, are required for the form to function securely, and expire when you close your browser.
Because we do not set non-essential cookies and do not load third-party trackers, no cookie consent banner is required. If you would still like to disable all cookies, you can do so via your browser settings without affecting site navigation.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last Updated” date.
