Two weeks of Madeira on foot — from the volcanic east cape to the ancient laurel forests of the central massif, with generous rest days in between.
Fifteen days, eight walking days, six rest days. The longer trekking variant covers all eight of the island's highlight tours — from the east cape across the levadas to the central mountains. More time to immerse yourself, more days to recover.
Visit the impressive church of São Jorge. Your hike will take you down the coastal path to Calhau and up to Santana on the other side. Spectacular views of the coast and the sea accompany you.
One of Madeira's most spectacular levada hikes — through canyons to the hidden Green Cauldron.
On the old wine transport road, you go uphill and downhill from Porto da Cruz to Machico. Enjoy the wonderful view of the northeast coast. Mimosa and eucalyptus trees line the path.
Stark volcanic landscape on the east cape with bizarre rock formations, optionally extended via Pico do Facho.
Levada walk through terraced fields and dense laurel forest — with passionfruit along the way.
From the pilgrimage town of Monte along the Levada dos Tornos with sweeping views over Funchal.
Along the Levada do Norte we go from Ribeira Brava towards Cabo Girão. The hike offers beautiful, wide views of the island and the sea. At the end, enjoy the view from one of the highest cliffs in the world.
You walk from Pico das Pedras along the levada through laurel forest. We continue uphill to Pico Ruivo. On the way to Pico Ruivo through Madeira’s fantastic mountains, you will have fantastic views of the island and the sea. We call it the “Belly-Legs-Buttocks Way”. You’ll understand why.
